Another sunny, warm but humid ride in, 17C/63F with an afternoon high of 26C/79F and more sun. Felt muscle tired so I figured the ride would be relatively slow, especially with a mild headwind for part of it, however, it was just off my record time for this year by about 1 minute so it wasn't bad at all.

Back to office after 3 days off, but I did manage to do a leisure commute at least once per day. Saturday was a ride to some open space trails for a run. Sunday was a ride to the movie theater. And Monday was a ride into town to meet a friend for a run.

Saturday and Sunday were low humidity and beautiful. Yesterday and today the heat and higher humidity are back.

Cold and wet, 8° celcius and rain. Big northern headwind, it felt like a november morning.
It should get better tomorrow

First ride in since last Monday. Felt good! I'm amazed as to how much difference my new tires (Conti Gatorskin) make. I'm consistently in one or two gears higher than I normally am.

Had two MGIF drivers passing me while approaching red lights.

It was cool but humid (65F, 68% humidity). I'm going to have to start packing the unscented wipes again.

Back to work after a four day weekend ... a couple of rides with my kids over the weekend, but nothing substantive in terms of miles.

Fastest to work commute ever today. Sunny, 69, humid as heck ... and very little wind. I wore a long sleeve tech shirt under a tech t-shirt and it wasn't really needed. Seems like it was only a couple of weeks ago when I was layered up and complaining about cold. Oh that's right, because I was! Was just a beautiful morning and a much needed ride

Cool and humid, expecting thunderstorms this afternoon. Did a long mountain bike ride yesterday so rolling on pavement was a real treat. Stopped to change a tube for another commuter so hopefully garnered some commuting karma for the week

Warmest morning commute this year. 71F and humid. Legs were tired from yesterdays 42 mile ride, but I made good time. I was going to take the motorcycle this morning until I realized I left the motorcycle at work last week. Glad I did. Feels good to start the day with a ride on my bicycle.

Getting humid - just my kind of weather. The scents of honeysuckle and wild rose were intoxicating!

70F and muggy. Suppose to be mid 80's by the time I get off work. Cant wait...There is a private college the girls track team often runs in the bike lane on my way home. I am ok with that.

Severe thunderstorms currently rolling their way over the office. It looks like I'll be here for the next 10-15 minutes riding the storm out.

ugh I have GOT to stop going to bed so late! Woke up at 5, didn't feel up to it. So I took the bike to work on my car and intended to ride home. Got caught up in work and couldn't get out until after 5 so I put the bike back on the car and drove home. Sucks because despite the rain today and tonight, it was super nice during the 5 pm hour. Would have been a real nice ride home.

The commute this morning was wet. It is a light mist to spitting outside so I rode to work anyway. I used my dh's yankees cap to keep the water off my glasses. The glasses were not being rained on but yet they were wet so I had to look over them to see.

71F and 82% humidity. Not too bad as long as I am moving and creating a breeze. I rode a bit slower in hopes to not get as sweaty, but I'm not sure it helped any.

This afternoon's ride home may be a good day to add some miles on for fun...

No commute this morning, daughter has a softball game tonight.

However, had a first on yesterday's commute. It went from 69 degrees yesterday morning to 53 degrees and rain yesterday afternoon. Slipped my rain jacket on before I left for home, had a nicely paced ride into downtown ... and when I got downtown, I looked to my left and on my left arm was a splotch of bird crap. Never had been shat on while riding. So I grabbed my water bottle, squirted the offending material off and kept pedaling.

It's in the mid-80's here, which is in my comfort zone, and humidity 85% on up which I still can't get used to. I've been suffering a sore throat for a couple of days, and maybe a touch of fever, but I logged one of my faster commutes at 19 mph. I have a theory about that. Your overall time isn't impacted by how fast you can go, but is normally dictated by how long you spend at lower speeds. Since I'm on a MUP partially and stretches of lower speed are unavoidable, this naturally boxes me in to a certain range. So in reality, plus or minus one or two mph within the range depends almost completely on how many times I slow down for pedestrians, slow cyclists etc. So I think that my faster commute was just due to a little relaxing of judgment from feeling under the weather. Mea culpa. One more thing to adjust for, that I hadn't really considered before.

I hate that misting crap. I'd rather it just rain than be misting all over the place.

I've noticed the same thing on my commute ... I think that's largely a "metropolitan" issue though

Muggy's the word it seems! Had to go to the dentist again so added 10 miles to the morning, which was fine until the ride to the office. City must have sprayed dumbass mist last night for anyone who goes to work after 9a. Wake up people!

Got soaked on the ride home last night. It was still fun. The new Gatorskins didn't feel confident in the rain once I got over 25mph, but the slight crosswind may have had something to do with that.

A little humid again this morning, but not too hot. It's the same forecast as yesterday. It's supposed to cool down a lot tonight and be in the 60s the rest of the week.

Cooler this morning due to last night's rain. Might rain on the way home. Don't mind it, after last winter, though.

Nice ride home today. Only had to wait 5-10 minutes for the rain to pass. Due to my late start, I met up with a fellow Bike Forums member (@FalconRider54) on the way home. It was nice to talk to someone, but I'm not used to riding with others. I unintentionally left him in the dust a few times.

Well shoot, without thinking I took a company laptop home to do some work this evening. Have no way to carry it back on the bike in the morning so looks like there will be no commuting at all this week.
