Cool and muggy (low 60's) - I'm ready for hot and muggy mornings. SUV (supremely unctuous vehicle) blew a stop sign and turned in front of me. I'm sure it woke him up - hope he crapped his pants too

Sunny and 56 ... slight headwind all the way to work.
Busy day on the MUP ... lots of traffic, both bike and foot.

Cold this morning but was going faster then I thought, felt like I was dragging ass today. My commute is a steady incline in to work and a steady decline home. It will probably close to 90F when I leave today, with bonus miles I expect about a 1300 calorie ride home
Lots of runners out today to, and today seemed to be the coldest morning of the week.

Slight headwind the whole way in and some misting. Temperature was around 55F. It's not supposed to get above 60.

Temperatures about 10 degrees cooler today but humidity still way up. The forecast is calling for a 50% chance of rain but I decided to take my chances and ride anyway since it was so much cooler. I've suffered through 90+ temps the past couple of days with high humidity, and my body is still acclimating to summer-like heat.

I really shouldn't even be at work today, head cold worse, but the ride in was fine. Somehow when you get warmed up, breathing a little and just riding smoothly that's the only time I feel normal with a cold and congestion.
I chased a rider this morning, which is unusual for me because first, there usually isn't anyone and second, I tend to go easy in the morning. And third, I'm not really that fast. In truth he was going a bit faster than I'd planned. But I recognized him, an older gentleman on a nice road bike who I see from time to time so I slowly reeled him in. I stay back, thirty feet or so, but when he slowed way down for a wet spot (which proves that fenders make you faster) I figure he wants me to pass. We exchanged pleasantries and it was his turn to chase for awhile.
If I could break the day up with some short rides then back to coding and meetings, I think I'd be fine.

Actually a nice ride this morning. Pouring rain, I stopped at the Bike to Work Week "Celebration Station" that was sort of on the way. Not many people there. They had a hot coffee for me, some bacon and eggs and I got my picture taken for the website.
Then I mounted up and finished the ride in.
I like riding in the rain. No one else is out.

Nice morning with temps in the 60's and high humdity. Wore my new showers pass jacket and so far I like it. I thought I would get hot wearing it this morning, but stayed comfortable with the vents open. I was running a little behind so I stayed on the highway for most of my commute. I don't like the highway, but it's the most direct route.

Nice ride home today. Only had to wait 5-10 minutes for the rain to pass. Due to my late start, I met up with a fellow Bike Forums member (@FalconRider54) on the way home. It was nice to talk to someone, but I'm not used to riding with others. I unintentionally left him in the dust a few times.

It was a nice and wet ride this morning. I did my daily weight check after my ride and I was up about 4 pounds, all water weight from the rain. Mostly my shirt also, yikes. May have been higher due to the cheetos I ate last night.
In the last two days I have been honked at twice and yelled at once. The yeller was a honker. He told me I am not a car, my son thought that was funny, since obviously we are not on a car. My son then asks why does he think we are not supposed to be on the road. Great when a preschooler understands better than a 45 y old guy.

I haven't been commuting since school ended and I'm waiting for my summer job to start. It's driving me nuts! I did however get a gnarly flat that not only parked the tube but killed a tire. It also broke a spoke. Then I broke a spoke putting the wheel on. Yeah one of those days....

Cool and damp today in Los Anchorage. Campbell Creek Trail was mostly empty other than a couple of walkers and bike commuters. Afternoon traffic was thicker than I am use to.

Mild 12C/54F and mostly cloudy (but patchy so the sun would pop out every minute or so for a few seconds); forecast for 21C/70F and sunny this afternoon but I suspect that without clouds, it'll be warmer that that. Weekend looks good too.

60 and sunny ... a bit of a breeze but not bad. Took it easy coming in ... not sure what I'll do on the way home. Ride hard, extend the ride, or just go home and let the weekend begin?
Should note ... I passed the 400 mile mark today. Last year I started commuting in July I think, maybe August, and only managed a little more than 400 miles before the weather turned. Think I might be able to hit 1,000 commuting miles this year. Actually, on second thought, if I commit to it I think I could hit 1,500 miles commuting this year. Maybe even 2,000.

Much better today, after doses of generic Sudafed and OTC allergy pills. Heavy rain caught me two miles from home yesterday; I didn't even check before leaving for some reason.
100'th commuting day this year for me. I'm aiming for 100% this year.

Brilliant ride this morning. I had an appointment where skanky wasn't a problem so rode to it. It was in a section of town where I've never ridden. Not a particularly bicycle friendly area but in parts some really nice roads. From there to the office took me through a park I didn't even know existed and two new mup's I've never been on. The total was just over 20 miles but when I got to my office I was really tempted to just keep going!

Today is my first month not driving to work once! I love having the shorter commute (10 km with daycare run, 25 km shorter when I go just work to home, both are round trip distance savings). I have biked every day I have gone to work, most days being with a daycare drop off. I was excited this morning I thought I was going to get to bike without kid, and I was going to not take panniers since we are having group lunch and I have clothed at work. But I did the usually fully loaded ride. Someday I will get to ride to work with only a saddle bag! I have dreams of being super-fast, but I know that traffic lights keep it all moderated.

What a difference a day makes:
Yesterday I was late to start, it was raining, headwind, and I got a flat. Walked back home (faster than changing tube) grabbed another bike and then crushed it all the way to work. Had to pass the Bike to Work Week celebration station and pass up on snacks etc. There was about the same amount of bike traffic: probably less commuters because of the rain but more because I was running about 20 mins later than usual.
Today: sun, calm, fast and fun. Stopped at 2 celebration stations and everyone was in a good mood.

I had a nice ride this morning. It was a little cold, but the hill climbs warm me up nicely, and I caught the sunrise as I was cresting the ridge in toward the end of my ride. The forecast looks good for the next week so I hope to ride all but my running or weight lifting days.
