Lift up your feet and say "WHEE" followed by "OH CRAP" when you coast to a stop.

It's probably not as deep as it looks! You can probably make it! If you go fast enough you probably won't get wet!

On the weekend I took my regular mountain bike route through the forest and encountered a moderately large puddle in the trail in a spot where there hadn't been one a few days prior. Forgetting that there had been torrential driving rain on every one of those intervening days, I presumed that it couldn't possibly be all that deep - I didn't even remember there being a dip in the trail there! Besides, I imagined I could certainly make it to the other side intact, even if there was a bit of splashing. And besides, with my big wide tires, I'd probably just spray all that water off to the sides!

That puddle was one and one-half feet deep. There was an additional pothole dead in the centre of it that ate my front wheel and brought the whole show to a dead halt. I just stood there, knee-deep in the water, ten minutes into my two hour ride, and thought: "well, at least I'm not gonna get any wetter!"

I think you should invest in a couple of these - one for your bike and one for yourself:

They only weigh a few pounds each, and you inflate them with a silnylon bag. So there is now no excuse. I bet your employer will buy you a couple if it means you will get there on time. Every time.

I think the OP will have to find another route until the water table lowers to a rideable level. being winter he might have to wait till spring. but spring down here can be pretty rainy, he might have to wait till summer. kinda weird they built a trail there. clearly they should engineer an elevated section. write to your congressman ...?
