CX type bike with aluminum frame + carbon fork + disc brakes?
I know the Trek Crossrip is an option. Are there others? It's a shame Specialized have removed the carbon fork in the last few years. I've got an 08 and it's a wonderful bike but lacking disc brakes for winter commuting.
EDIT: forgot to add in the title that I also need rack and fender mounts.
Thanks for any suggestions.

DVC45, you're overlooking the carbon fork requirement.
The Jamis Nova Race is another candidate. I'm not sure it's equipped to accept a rack, but you can usually work around that.
There's this too (i.e. stock aluminum CX bike + aftermarket carbon fork).

Another thing to look out for if you plan to use a rack is chainstay length. The Nova Race and Jake the Snake I mentioned both have 425mm chainstays, which works for me but might be a problem for people with big feet. Some racks offer a bit of relief in this regard.
You didn't mention your budget, but if it's high enough and you're willing to consider titanium, you could build something like this beauty:

That's a nice commuter bike. Been thinking about getting one. What fork is that?

What is it about a CX bike versus a touring type that you require?

It's a Kona P2 Carbon Cyclocross fork. It's got a tapered steerer, so I had to get a Chris King InSet 7 headset to make it fit. Alas, that was a sacrifice I was willing to make. It's the same fork on the Kona Rove Ti I posted above, and I think the same fork as on the stock Jake the Snake.

Fuji Cyclocross is nice too.
Visit your local Performance bike store. They might have it in stock.

Someone posted a nice CAADX a few days ago. It now has disks at the higher trim levels.

Edit: in response to the question of the giant tcx slr2 having mounts.
Hidden rack mounts, but now that I think about it not sure about fenders. Have to check our models when I get back from lunch.

Motobecane on bikes direct also fit your specs. Wish they'd get a ti cyclo bike in Stock in 56 or 57 cm.

Thanks everyone. I know the Specialized frames are excellent and I'm sure Trek's are too. Will the others suggested equally good since the components are relatively similar across most of them? That Fuji seems good value.
UnfilteredDregs, the CX bikes have particular appeal because they have drops for weekend rides, allround tires that can do everything competently and most also have rack/fender mounts. This category of bike seems to be growing from a few years ago and I think with good reason. I only have the $$ and space for one bike while in school, and though something like this doesn't excel in any area, the appeal lies in the versatility.

fenders can easily be mounted on the axles. and do your really need a rack on a decent cx bike?
if the answer is no, you might want to give this bike a look:

i've seen it available for as little as 2.2K on sale.

Vain, But Lacking Talent
The CAADX is a great option, but a quick note on the fender mounts on the fork. They are on the inside of the fork, just above the caliper mount for the disc brakes. So you would need to make sure the fender stays are the infinitely adjustable type you can cut them short after initial setup.
I was the one that posted my CAADX a few days ago. It is one of the funnest bikes I've ever ridden. I went with the cantilever 2013 model, but I'm weird. I work at a Cannondale dealer and one coworker has the 2014 disc 105 and loves it. We also have, I think, 3 guys who own the carbon version and love it, but of course the carbon version does not do fenders.

The Specialized Secteurs have carbon forks and 3 models with discs this year. I bought the Secteur Expert last year (top model but only one with discs). The other options are cheaper but still with discs.
Loved the CrossRip (even more than my secteur on the test rides) but ultimately wanted 105 drivetrain at minimum, which CrossRip couldn't offer.

It actually does excel in one area....cyclocross racing.

I work in the industry so I'll comment on bikes that suggested here.
Kona: Ok bike. Does not excel in anything. Down tube cable routing can be problematic if you are not a mechanic. BB30 instead of PF30 can get creaky. Kona is popular with bike commuters, but not with CX racers. 2 or 3 tier bike manufacture name(not important to me, but I heard a lot of customers whine about it).
CAAD X: Great geometry and great finish. Rides great, but Downtube cable routing still gets negative vote. Also BB30 can get creaky. One of the best selling bikes, which means too many people own the same bike.
Specialized Crux: New 2014 models are great as long as they don't come with Roval wheels. Too much friction from internal cable routing.
Giant TCX: Superb fit and finish. Clean internal cable routing. Wheels and tires are by far the best at this price range. Extra tire clearance.
Trek Crossrip: Built by Giant so great fit and finish. Rides like a touring bike than a CX bike.
FWIW, there are many work around with rack and fender eyelets so I wouldn't worry about them. Just like when you buy a car, you wouldn't think of cup holders and cigarette lighter as major considerations.
If I have to choose from the list suggested, Giant TCX wins my vote.
