Notches

Does anyone put any "notches" on their bike for mileage ridden? I'm at 2500 on my commuter and was thinking about some type of way to mark it like the stickers on the football helmets, etc. I don't want to engrave it or scratch it up, but would like something that would have some durability and not just peel off. Just curious if anyone else does this and what you do.

I was actually considering doing similar on the inside of the chain stays where it is not very obvious. I was going to track how many centuries I have ridden on my newish frame.

One could use thin stripes of reflective tape around one of the tubes to tally off milestones. Heh, I might actually do this!

Hmm, interesting ideas. I was thinking of something along the top tube starting from the seat tube and working forward. I could use K like they do in baseball. Or possibly something like the old fighter planes used. Strips of reflective tape would work, make it zebra striped

I also thought about putting state abbreviations as well (I only have 4 thus far)

I like this idea. I think thin strips of tape could work
