And motorists say that we run red lights. My commute home.
I was on my way home from work when some nutcase sped out of the Taco Bell parking lot almost hitting me. I honked my SUPER LOUD(Crazy loud modified) air horn at them. And then they honked back with some whimpy little squeak of a horn.(Kinda made me laugh). After they had done that, they sped straight through a red light(It had been red for a while already) without even slowing down to make sure it was safe. I'm guessing either I just had a close call with a real maniac. Or they were just too afraid that I would beat them up.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the plate number because they were going too fast.
If I had been any sooner, there would have been a collision so I guess I'm pretty lucky.

Some people just don't have brain cells. That person was one of them, your lucky to not have been injured
And I only run red lights when nobody is around, at 4am, because the stupid thing is either on a timer and my bike doesn't set the sensor off

Like Sergeant Phil Esterhaus from Hill Street Blues used to say, "Hey. let's be careful out there."
Last night I saw a commercial on TV I've never seen before. I young women is driving with her friend in the car. She's texting and talking to her passenger and blows full speed through a red light. They are hit broadside, flipped in the air and down over an embankment. It sent chills through me. It’s a VERY powerful commercial. I hope reaches some folks.

I saw something like that yesterday. Some idiot rode my butt up to one light. Then used the left turn only lane to pass another car and causing one more car to hit their brakes, as they ran a red light. Funny thing. It did nothing to get him ahead of us. We (all the cars he passed at that red light) caught him a half mile down the road.

Cars run them. Bikers run them even more. Each cause attitudes in the other yet each point the finger at the other.

I always say "it's not the vehicle, it's the person operating it", even if the "vehicle" is feet.
Just yesterday I stopped on my bike to let a mother and child cross at an uncontrolled intersection, and NO ONE else would stop.
