Yellow Fenders

I understand that Planet Bike are selling Yellow fenders to aid in the visibility to motorist. Fenders Hardcore Hybrid Touring (yellow) Are they any good and will they fit a 700+23 wheel?

They work exactly as well as the black or silver fenders at shielding water and grime.
I deny they have much effect on visibility to motorists.
They come in several sizes for different tire widths.

I use black fenders with strips of reflective tape on them.

I've done this, and it has given me increased peace of mind with respect to on-road visibility.

I think the yellow is just for fashion. I do not believe it would add any significant visibility for drivers. if they are not looking at you yellow paint will not flash like a strip of reflective tape does.

I would not rely on your fender for safety. buy a few blinking red lights to increase driver awareness.

They'll fit up to about a 37/38mm tire. But will your bike fit the fenders? If you have a road bike with caliper brakes, there's a good chance the fenders are too wide to clear them. What bike are you looking to put these on?

They would look nice on my yellow road bike, but I doubt I have brake clearance. I'm in agreement with the wise men above - get something reflective and put it on the fender. Shame we haven't seen any fenders with reflective strips built in yet...

Not a fan of yellow fenders. They could look good on the right bike...silver or titanium frame perhaps. Otherwise, black looks best followed by silver.
