My car is the one that causes all the traffic. apparently....

So I'm sitting at the intersection as the light cycles for the 3rd time with little progress wondering why is that when I drive traffic is brutal and when I bike it zips along smoothly. Then it dawned on me. Its my car. I'm the one. I'm not sure what mechanism is in place but there is a definite correlation. So let me apologize. My bad. I'm trying to get more mileage in but its a 40 mile round trip so I have to build up to it. Feel free to unleash your frustration on me.

I zip past the 5 o'clock rush every day, and I can always feel those envious looks

As I ride home on the Stevens Creek Trail, it's always my goal to outpace the traffic on CA-85. It's a pretty easy goal to achieve.

I am sure Honolulu would be happy to pay you to come ride here to clear up traffic. It has to be cheaper than building raised rail and counter flow zipper lanes, which really back up traffic due to lane closures day and night.

Mmmhmm!!! I see that "aw man that's his bike, he gets to ride that & i gotta be stuck in this" on the road and outside of stores etc all the time. It makes me work that much harder to try and make cycling a reality for everyone though whatever means, be it complete streets or awareness or what have you.
