I have these weird things in the road cutting 4-way intersections into strictly left and right turns that really get in the way while driving. Bikes, however, go around quite nicely.

It's faster and less tiring to get around near the house by bike than by bus or foot. But anything further than the nearest MRT station is better by MRT.
