I have these in 26 x 1.75 on my LHT and Marathon Pluses in 700 x 38 on my CC. Both are great tires but the Vittorias are a bear to mount and the Schwalbes pretty much mount themselves.

There doesn't seem to be much love for continentals on this thread other than my previous post. I've been a fan for their tires for a long time and they make a number of different high volume tires. In fact, I'm getting ready to pick up a pair of continental town and country 26 x 1.9 tires for my commuter on a nashbar black friday sale.

After reading a number of reviews, I purchased Performance Bike house brand Forte Strada K 28mm, which have turned out to be a great investment. They run about $18, and mine have been going strong (no flats) for 2 years of road and gravel riding. I don't know if they come in a 35, but you may want to check PB's other offerings, as I was pleasantly surprised. My go-to brands are historically Panaracer and Vittoria, just to give you a sense of what I base my opinion on.

I put 700x40 Schwalbe Marathon Racers on my commuter. They're HUGE, but roll very well, have good grip, are not very expensive, are flat resistant (so far), and weigh 490g per tire which is pretty light for a tire that size.

Eric,

I'm currently running these after putting nearly 10,000 miles on a set of Schwalbes Supremes. I too ordered them from Nashbar. I thought I was ordering 700x37 but they delivered 700x35 (as marked on the sidewall). And, when I put the micrometer on them the actual measurement is 700x33. I'm disappointed in that respect but the ride is pretty good and you can't go wrong for the price. I'd be interested in knowing what what was actually delivered to you.

FYI,those aren't smooth. They're not knobbies, but the tread is noticeable. My Buzz came stock with those, swapped them for regular Randonneurs and liked them much better.

Replaced the original tires (700c x 28 espoir sport) on my Sirrus with Panaracer T-Serve 700c x 35's. Smooth ride, great on cornering and no road noise. Over 100 miles so far and no flats but roads in my area aren't that bad.

I know. I decided to do a double duty commute/ gravel tire selection.

I have Panaracer Paselas on several of my bikes. I have 32's on my Viscount and 35's on my Bianchi Volpe.

I get a long service out of the Suomi-Nokian Tires I Own.. there its not a high thread count fast - light tire , But one that will wear a Long time

Ive Used a pair of A10 on a most of year long Bike tour, 15 years ago. and they still look like new.

The Studded ones are in their 20th season.

I've been commuting on Specialized Nimbus Armadillos for over 10 years now and have yet to have an issue.

They're sturdy, not too weighty, faster than many, and ridiculously durable.

Ha, I've heard of making your own studded tires, but that's crazy!

I'll add to the love for Marathon Supreme. I roll 29x2 (700x50) supremes on my CrossCheck (yes they fit fine).

However, if Sixty Fiver were to drop into this thread, I think he would recommend Schwalbe Hurricanes. I've seen him a couple times mention that they roll as well as Marathons and have for him been very flat resistant, and they're a good bit cheaper.
