Not necessarily this route, but there's definitely a more than 50% chance I'll be on one of these on any given winter commute...

Yeah, that would be nice. It would also be nice if they had more rack space or would let you bring your bike on board when the rack is full.

@Sixty Fiver is that a bear bell on the top tube? I have thought about putting some bells on my bike now that fall has me riding in dusk/ darkness more.,

It is a bear bell... some folks have to deal with squirrels but if you'd ever got a bear cub jammed in the spokes you know how bad that can be.

Al - The bars are Nittos... they are rather excellent.

The frame is immune to corrosion, the parts are all sturdy and the drops give yoh lots of control.
