Anyone do tights/leg warmers under 3/4?

For the past month I've been looking for the perfect pair of (non tights) cycling pants. Have not gone or need to go full kit plus clipless since I am just doing recreational/commuting rides. Tried slim hiking pants and Endura Singletrack trousers but they are still too wide at the calf, they flap in the wind or get greased up. Anyone else try tights/leg warmers under regular 3/4 like so?

Leg warmers look very convenient since they are full zip. Chose them over tights since Hummvee 3/4 comes with the clickfast liner/chamois which I really like.

I wear running pants with tighter legs. Tight enough to not get caught in the gears but still pants.

I got them at Target, C9 brand.

You could wear regular pants and just wrap your ankles with a reflective band to keep the legs from flapping or getting caught in the chain.

+1. I wear compression tights under them when it's cold out.

Tights under cycling shorts work as do leg warmers and cycling shorts. I broke down and purchased (20% off!) REI Novara Headwind pants at $65 and am extremely happy with them. They are not tights and have room to wear tights underneath on colder days. Colder is 35ºF for me. It seems that there is a substantial variation in people's tolerance to cold. I believe that I am always cold. At 50ºF I am wearing my pants and wool socks.

On cold days like today I wear leg warmers with a good pair of athletic shorts over the top. Keeps me warm at freezing or even colder. I tried them for the first time this year and much prefer just the leg warmers to full length tights.

C9 stuff is really good. Have thermal pants by them that you put on under your regular pants, and several other undergarments. 10/10 would recommend!
