What should I get?

I have recently realized that I need to upgrade my bike. I have lots of experience building bikes so I'm not worried about any building I'd need to do. I would like to build up a single speed. I don't care what it looks like but I want it to function well. I need a frame, brakes, brake levers, and a front wheel (preferably 27). Thanks you!

You can do almost any type of work (or leisure) with almost any type of bike if you really want. So what is your personal preference? How upright do you like to ride, and do you prefer flat bars or drop bars?

Personal preference will overwhelmingly dictate what kind of bike you build. Keep in mind what tires you want so you can make sure that the frame has enough clearance, and what kind of braze-on items you might want.

With this in mind, what kind of riding do you plan to do? What is the weather like, and what kind of add-ons would you like to have?

I would check in the SSFG forum. But, I would refine my question or have a large object to hide behind before I posted.

Pretty much this. You need to narrow your question down a bit before we can really offer much advice. Also would be a good idea to have a ballpark price range to help people suggest builds, sinc emy idea of a fantastic commuter bike may be much more expensive than yours.

Have you decided to build rather than buy? It costs a lot more, in most cases, so is it for fun, to be extra specific, or some other reason? I build my own bikes most of the time, because (1) it's more fun, and (2) it costs more but the cost is spread over time.

A 27" Replacement wheel should be in stock in Most Bike Shops, for Repairs ... Walk in And Ask.

De Dishing to let the Freewheel threads Line Up better for SS chain line... is a Matter of spoke wrenching and swapping in some Axle spacers .
