In no particular order:

- Talk to me while I'm trackstanding ... this s*** takes focus, if you want to learn how to do it watch a youtube video and stop asking me to teach you
- When I shout "on your right" to signal my intentions of overtaking, they swerve over to the right
- Wheelsuck without asking ... P*** off! I worked hard for this speed, so should you!
- Riding against the traffic in the narrow a** bike lane ... not so much commuters as it is restaurant delivery people

I'll add more as I remember... all of these stuff happened to me today and I realized they happen far too often for my liking. Hope I don't sound too obnoxious

Commuters who focus on track standing while commuting, feel superior to other cyclists who are trying to make a living by cycling, and/or pass other bicyclists on the right annoy me.

You must not be familiar with NYC' s bike infrastructure. On most one way streets the bike lane is on the left hand side of the road, therefore if I pass people on the left I risk hitting the curb, falling over and causing an accident. Also If I didn't track stand I might as well throw away my clipless pedals since I have to unclip every 200 feet and spend the subsequent 190 trying to reclip. You always post such sarcastic and condescending responses to my threads it seems you're the one who feels superior to other cyclists.

Get better at clipping in. Then work on advanced skills.

I am quite poor at clipping in and I am working on it (somewhat) ... but I'm pretty sure I can accelerate from a stop much faster by track standing than by momentarily fumbling to clip in, even with advanced proficiency. There are the odd moments when I can clip in instantaneously (muscle memory) but I haven't found out how to do so consistently.

That's pretty much it. Maybe you should work on being less prickly? Nothing anyone on a bike is doing comes remotely close to the bonehead crap that some some drivers pull.

Keep working on it and maybe don't worry so much about how quickly you can get off the line at a green light. Getting clipped in quickly is a basic skill.

It's weird but I can clip in much easier with road pedals than I can on the double sided SPDs I run on my commuter. I suspect its due to the larger cleat. I also cant track stand on the bike that I have road pedals on (damn toe overlap!) so maybe that also contributes to the disparity in being able to clip in.

Not to brag, but I finally got dialed on seated track stands yesterday. Well not 100% dialed...more like partially seated. Gotta get up occasionally to toss my hips around

I have no problem remaining clipped in while at lights. The problem I have is once the light turns green - how do you get off the ground with your feet clipped into the pedals?!

When they ride on the sidewalk when there is a bike lane right there. C'mon now!!!! They put the bike lanes in for us, lets use them!

Took me almost 4 months, with lots of falls and damages to my bike (and self-esteem) in between. Funny thing is that once you get it it becomes so intuitive makes you wonder why the hell it took so long to learn.

I ride on the sidewalk pretty frequently, though never in manhattan, and obviously never when cops are around. People double park in the bike lane a lot and when the road is gridlocked I just hope over the curb and roll (very slowly!). I usually check the level of foot traffic and how wide the sidewalk is first.

Riders who ride the bike lane AGAINST traffic ignoring the nice helpful arrows painted in the lane directing traffic. Real salmon aa opposed to sidewalk salmon who ride the wrong direction on the sidewalk.

Blinky tail lights, blinky headlights.
My favorite: people who ride in the bike lane until reaching an intersection, then go up onto the sidewalk, cross in or even to the right of crosswalk, onto the sidewalk on the far side, only to go back out into the bike lane. Makes me want to bang my head on the nearest car door.

"Sorry about that but sometimes the bike lane vanishes and instantly becomes a right-turn only lane for traffic." is what I would say to you when I first started riding. Today I just creep over that turning lane while hand signaling left while utilizing my middle finger. ​"I ain't afraid of you anymore cagers!"

When I am on the bike, people who pass without signaling while riding or when I am stopped at the red light that they are blowing through.

When I am in the car, the people on the bike who are track standing and twitching like a fish just pulled out of the lake. The variation on this are those who ride in little circles between the lanes at the intersection. Makes the person on the bike seem completely unpredictable.

I don't run into enough bike commuters everyday. The only thing that annoys me is an occasional salmon rider.

I encountered a twaffel doing that at a red light, who had the audacity to scold me for riding past him to turn right.

Same here for me. My time of day for my commutes is not the normal time, which is good and bad. I would love to ride with other people as there is some safety and comfort in numbers. The salmon rider with headphones on being totally oblivious in the bike lane heading the wrong way, those really get me. Had that happen twice now.
