I'll drink a few beers and add the occasional snarky comment to the commuting forum. That seems to be annoying to some. Im not proud of it.

Other than that I am perfect.

I have no idea what I was doing on Monday when the following happened. I was riding to work on the Hudson River Greenway, and someone cycling in the oncoming direction looked at me squarely and mouthed "F*ck you!" very carefully. I think I'll be pondering that for a while. I just can't figure it out.

Well you know that's annoying to some commuters, right? So you're fitting right in here

True, whatever I do that annoys someone else it's my problem, it's theirs.
I probably do a lot of stuff that annoys other cyclists, but on the flip side those same things might be exactly what many other people consider a part of normal riding. Too many people get annoyed over stuff they shouldn't really delve into.

That puts me in mind of another one. I have a policy of "Do not engage the crazies". I'd never considered it before, but it's probably annoying to them.

I ride my e-bike on the MUP in street clothes with a big grin on my face waving at everyone, not even breaking a sweat. I turn the pedals to make it look like I'm actually working out. Sometimes I'll take a call and talk extra loud so everyone can hear me coming or sing along with my earbuds in. I really love it when roadies see me gaining, and are totally deflated when they realize they were trying to outrun a faster bike.

Seems like a lot of respondents are intentionally trying to be annoying. That's not too tough.

I'm the guy that jumps off the line, then has trouble getting my shoe clipped in after waiting for the light to change, with 10 bikes behind me. I would find that annoying but who knows. Maybe I need to try harder.

These would seriously annoy me as a pedestrian. I'd ask you if you were an off duty traffic cop and if no, I'd tell you to piss off. I get similarly annoyed when cars wave me on. Just operate your vehicle/bike like you're supposed to. You're probably trying to do the right thing but this is just putting the pedestrian/jogger/etc. in needless danger.

Probably the way I dress. Casquette, no helmet, Wayfarers/Holbrooks, rolled up right pant leg jeans, messenger bag. I totally look like a pretentious hipster/messenger wannabe (I'm not?). Other than that I do my best to follow etiquette and road laws, so my behavior is at least un-annoying.

I've never had a pedestrian etc. complain about my stopping at a marked or unmarked crosswalk in the state of Oregon. Moreover, when I share space with pedestrians I am under no legal obligation to fly by them at high speeds. In fact, it's entirely legal to bike at walking speeds on MUPS/MUTs/sidewalks. So very sorry that my prioritization of others' safety annoys you.

Giving pedestrians the right of way is not annoying. Intentionally corking traffic in order to be some kind of vigilante crossing guard is.

What about "vigilante law enforcement cyclist" who ride with GoPro cameras, because they hoping to catch and record every single law breaker out there so they can report them to the authorities ?? or post their silly videos of some stranger on You Tube ??. Isn't that annoying ??

I cork the lane I'm in. And I personally find cyclists who excuse buzzing pedestrians or other cyclists because they are afraid of being hit from behind to be lame.

I guess I should consider myself lucky. I'm rarely (if ever) in a situation like that.

Night riding with these four super lights:
1. Handlebar
2. Helmet (Front)
3. Helmet (Back)
4. Messenger Bag

I know I shine like an emergency vehicle but I dont risk night riding in NYC

There're not any other cyclists from where I commute nowadays. So my fellow commuters are all now motorists. What do I do to annoy my fellow commuters? Being on the road.

Pointed out to a rider that his rear tire needs some air. I was going to offer to let him use my pump. Response was a nasty "this bike is a piece of junk and I am going to ride it until it dies and then throw it out". Wow, man, it's just air!

Non-reaction or delayed reaction to the mumbling "......" while being passed by another cyclist.

The "......" turned out to be "To your left!"
