Road kill anyone?
Last season I took out two squirrels, a rat, and a raccoon, plus I kicked a third squirrel out of the way before it got under my tire. What will this year bring? Anyone else a critter magnet like me?

One deer. The only thing left for dead was my rear wheel.

I feared the dog that gave chase to me this morning was going to become road kill by the car catching up to us.

I always thought a roadkill phone app would be cool. Take a picture, upload it, database id's the kill and records its location.

I took out a rabbit last year. He spooked out of the ditch and ran BETWEEN MY WHEELS for a few yards. I had bad potholes to my right and cars passing on my left, I stopped pedalling to keep from hitting him with a pedal but didn't have time to figure out what else to do before he fell back enough to go under the rear wheel. I circled back but he was already destined to be vulture (or coyote, both are prevalent in the area) food.

I had a salamander on the MUP try and take me out this morning, it was waving its venom-soaked tail around daring me to eat it.

I haven't killed anything myself, but I've come across a dead deer (got hung up in a fence, tried to chew one of its feet off before dying), and a dead skunk (got its head stuck in a jar it was apparently eating from, and died most likely of thirst).

No road kill of significance that I can recall (kind of surprising with all the kamikaze squirrels I encounter). Last week I was traveling so couldn't do my usual Tuesday night ride with some co-workers, but apparently one of them took out a bunny - she assumed it would hop away at the last minute like others have; the "Thump" told her otherwise. She still feels bad about it, even though I've explained it probably wasn't her fault, and that next time just keep riding straight ahead, especially if she's riding close to others, so she doesn't take out more than just a rabbit.

I haven't taken any critters out, but I notice a lot more roadkill on the bike than in a car.
