Thanks for the advice guys. I think the 38x46 with a 12x27 is the way I am going to go. Did my race last weekend with a road triple, but just stayed in the 42 midring, and was really feeling it at the end of the race, and from race pictures am really pedalling sloppily. Thanks again.
