Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

38/46x12-27 or mtb triple or 42x12-27 single ring
experiment and see what works for you. It's pretty fun (for me anyway) to try things out and see how they work for me.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think the 38x46 with a 12x27 is the way I am going to go. Did my race last weekend with a road triple, but just stayed in the 42 midring, and was really feeling it at the end of the race, and from race pictures am really pedalling sloppily. Thanks again.
