Noob cyclocross build
I think I want to try cyclocross. Plus, for some reason, I think I want a better road bike(c'dale r500). 2 birds same stone?
Blue CX6.5 frame
FSA Gossamer MegaExo Compact Cross 170mm 36-46t w/ BB
SRAM Rival Shifters
Avid shorty 4 calipers
Salsa Brake levers (for top bar)
SRAM Rival Deraillures
Easton EA70 bar/stem
Easton EC70 seat post
I am not sure on wheels.. under $500 bucks though.
Trying to keep it under 2000.

my opinion is this:
save your cash until you know that you really do like cross. buy something used. I got a slightly used Trek XO1 for $600 w/o wheels with Ultegra/DA drivetrain last year, so bargains are out there.
Dont spend more than $150 on your wheels. A set of Open pros with Ultegra or 105 hubs will be fine for now. Upgrade to tubulars when you know u like cx.
Thats my opinion
