Opinions on Salsas?
Anyone here ridden a Salsa Chili Con Crosso, or a Salsa Las Cruces? I'm planning on building up a cross bike to race on this fall/winter, and the Las Cruces is calling my name. I know, it's scandium, but I'm a long-time fan of that material. I'd just like to get opinions on the ride quality, durability, etc.
Planned build: compact carbon 'cross crank, Ultegra, mid-range Ksyriums.

I have a Chili Con Crosso that I picked up right when they first were available. I've put a few hundred miles on it so far, both trail/dirt and road. It rides really smoothly and I am quite happy with it. While I really like the orange Las Cruces, I didn't want a 135 rear spaced hub. The Con Crosso has been, rides smoothly and comfortably and handles really well.
Really, with either one, you're getting a great frame.

I have a Las Cruces. I built it about 18 months ago and have ridden, raced and generally ridden the sh*t out of the thing. It's very stiff and responsive and will build into a relatively light machine with Ultegra and Ks. The fork is a boat anchor, but I've never worried about hurting it.
I ride singletrack on it alot in the winter too. It won't take a superwide rear tire (38c max), but the front will take anything. I'm riding a 40 on front and a 38 on the back. On not-to-technical singletrack, it flat flies. I kill the mountain bike dudes on the sweeping/flowing parts of the trail.
Get one, you won't regret it.
