Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Dedicated wheels for racing and training

I've got a stock '06 Kona JTS. I plan to use the stock wheel as around town wheels with a Burley trailer hitch skewer in the rear wheel. I can also put a normal skewer in the wheel on race day and use the wheels as a spare set in case of emergency.

I've read a lot of positive opinions on the Open Pro/Ultegra combo as a good set of wheels for racing. Are there any other relatively cheap options that I should look at? I don't plan to use tubular tires anytime soon, so I'm looking for clincher rims. Thanks everyone.
