Ready to rock
Upgrades complete (mostly?).
Started with a well abused '05 Bianchi Cross Veloce
Dumped junk OEM parts (after nearly killing them) and replaced with:
Thomson Elite stem and post
Paul Touring brakes
Ritchey bars
Campy Veloce UT cranks (34/50)
And newly re-cabled and chained.
The huge, and I mean huge difference is the crankset. The no-name ISIS BB w/ FSA Gossamer crank shifted like crap and creaked so loud through the enormous Scandium tubes people would hear me coming from a block away (no kidding, they'd turn around and look on a local hill). The Campy cranks are like night and day. And man is it smooooooooooth. Now about the wheels...
