Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Ksyrium Elite wheelset for cross

So I'm going to be doing some cross this fall and just picked up lightly used 06 Redline Conquest Pro. The bike comes with a Ksyrium Elite wheelset, is this going to be tough enough for cross racing? I weigh 148.

They're plenty tough. Only thing that would give me pause is my potential inability to avoid crashing. Repairing my Ultegra Open Pros would be much cheaper and easier but they are a tad slower.

165# and use the elites for both racing and training - no problems. I've taken the truing wrench out a few times for minor adjustments but that is to be expected.
