Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Let's discuss pedals!

Let's discuss pedals!

My XO-1 came with these absolute *****-house shimano SPD pedals. They really suck.

I'd like something that has a bit of float (I rock speedplay's on my road bike), but is relatively light and inexpensive.

Crank Bro's eggbeaters?
Speedplay frogs?
Buy a better set of Shimano's (maybe the XTR)?

Look Quartz.

I predict you'll see more and more of these pedals in cross races and on mountain bike trails. I'm very tempted to switch from Eggbeaters to Look Quartz.
