Tricross Frame
I am planning to build a cross bike to use as a road bike too, any comments on this frame?

Awesome frame. Quite overkill for me, but you'd have to judge for yourself if it's right for you.
What are you planning on doing with it? Road only, there are a lot of better choices out there. |
My favorite of 4 bikes is my Tricross, by a country mile. It's a great frame. If you're planning on doing a mix of off- and on-road with it, I don't think it's a bad choice at all.

i have the 2006 version of this frame. A shop had bought a quantity of them when they were slightly redesigned for 2007. Mine is full dura ace, got it for 2000.00!
This is a great frame. If its like mine, I think it has no fender and rack eyelets. Maybe not a big deal to you, but I ended up wishing it had them (I dont race, use it for all kind of things, off road, around town, etc) |

You can run calipers, you'll have less chance of toe overlap, it'll be lighter, more aero (very road weenie of me), you won't have huge tire/fender clearance that you may not want or need and the frame won't be overbuilt for riding on pavement. |

does "road bike too" mean in addition to cross bike usage?
