Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Cyclocross rear tire direction

So I just glued some Challenge Fango tires for this cross season and I kept them both directional to the tread. What I wonder is what if I reversed the tread on the rear for more traction like the Michelin Mud2 tires.

I am about to glue up some Challenge Grifo's, should I reverse the rear or will this not work for this tire tread?

Thanks

I reverse the rear but honestly I don't think it makes any difference. I've seen people running them both ways.

When I've looked at pro bikes, they seem to run them forward direction, but they run Rhinos when it gets at all sloppy.
