Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Raleigh Furley

What do you guys think of the Raleigh Furley as a SSCX? (although Raleigh has it under road bikes instead along with their CX stuff). Seems interesting and the price is right. $750 at LBS.

I never rode it, but I gave it serious consideration. I decided against it because for $1200 you can get much better (imho). The thing weighs a ton (for what it is). I felt like I'd spend another $500 just to replace some components. That's just me though. I think it really does look like an awesome bike for the price. I just decided that spending a little more is worth it for more awesome.
