My fav's last year was Hardwick because it was in a trailer park during a monsoon and Cheshire because it had the most insane run up. But my favorite races has to be Down East (love that decent into the mud pit), Gloucester (so big) and Canton (so fast.)
I love how it's getting bigger here. I love racing in New England!

We're complete opposites. I HATED Hardwick. That was the pouring rain day? I loathed that course. I suffered horribly in the woods, on that swampy field. I still have nightmares about that day. Gloucester makes you feel pro, though!

Indeed. If I could only do one race, it will be Gloucester. Nothing like the vibe - so huge and pro, yet so chill. But then again, Falmouth has a beer tent...

goals for the year: race at least 10 races. singlespeed every time. fixed gear at one race just to say I did it (anyone have any suggestions on which one?)
August: That Jersey thing. wife gets to decide that one.

Sept 30?(I think) Ed Sanders Lilypons race in MD
Oct 13/14: Iron cross lite and Iron Cross 65 miler (singlespeed division?)

Nov 3: Wonderland CX race in Lancaster or squadra coppi in VA

Thanksgiving weekend: MABRA champs in taneytown?

Well, the NC scene is pretty good, but it doesn't compare to some of those. Damn! Our fall and winter schedule isn't up yet, but it will be at www.nccyclocross.com when it's finalized.

Biggest fields are at Iron Cross and the Granogue/Wissahickon weekends. Nittany Cross was a solid showing last year (first year they ran it) so I would expect an even bigger field this year.
