Saddle shape?
Does it matter? I ran an Aliante last season. In drills this year I realize that I'm hanging up my leg on the back of the saddle as it goes over. Do people run flatter saddles for this reason, or is this just my lameness that has to be drilled out of me?

Good question. I ride a flat saddle (Spec BG Comp) because it fits my bum. I can attest that you can screw up remounting onto a flat saddle real good, too.

Ha! No doubt. Maybe I'll try something else if I can find it cheap. CX isn't exactly like riding a century on a saddle so maybe using a comfortable saddle is less important than I originally thought.

Yep. To be honest, if I were really hardcore, I'd probably just have some sort of arseprop for a saddle on the race bike, something like a BMX thing except more roadbike shaped. That's if I were that hardcore. Instead a lot of my JRA and "training" is on the cross bike so that's why I've got a decent saddle on there.
