I gotta send mine back, wore that **** outta them in 3-4 months of use.

Luckily, Pearl has lifetime materials and manufacturing defect warranty, so I will be getting a new pair soon.

somnambulant 12-18-07 10:00 AM

Oh yeah? Mine have been troopers. The last pair I had were from Adidas and I literally tore one of them in half taking them off after only about 800km of normal summer road use. I got my money back and bought those PI ones.

Hooray for companies that stand by their products.

ryand 12-18-07 10:03 AM

I have a friend that used to work there that did the same thing to his, so he told me to be expecting in.

Consider yourself warned... those gloves are going to explode!

Lithuania 03-19-08 01:24 PM

hey i see a photo of me at that horrible whirly bird race up there! I am also in the background of a photo from the wissahickon race.

somnambulant 03-19-08 01:28 PM

The dude in that last picture should automatically have to give you $50 for taking a picture where it looks like he's going Mach Eleventymillion. Nice work.

I also now desire a pair of Oakley Racing Jackets in all white.. my team is sponsored by Rudy Project though, so I'm sure cheapness will prevail. :)

Lithuania 03-19-08 02:53 PM

thats me with the ugly racing jackets. i love em

cyclingcaptured 03-19-08 03:07 PM

They are cool. They really stand out.

It's hard to get a panning shot focused on what you want focussed. This was one of those lucky shots where it came out perfect. The riders name is Aaron Oakes, real nice guy. Not a bad cyclocrosser, either: http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/~aoakes/index.html

For sure.. these are probably my two most successful panning shots from this season:

I see you're on a San Jose.. what sort of gearing are you running? I just picked up a Bianchi Roger. I'm not entirely sure if I'm going to race it, but I couldn't help myself based solely on aesthetics. :P I'm planning on making it a dingle-speed with 42x16 and and 38x20 so I can commute to the office and hit the trails after work.

Lithuania 03-20-08 10:34 AM

i raced on a 42x18

I thought he was just turning it on when he saw the camera. Oh, I guess that's just me.
