If not for the hardware, I will be there to try and defeat my crossresults nemesis...the *new*guy.

With the added 40+ age group and being one of the few entrants in my category that actually live in DC, theoretically I could medal in this race. If they add a 6'5" or taller category, I'm golden.

lack of gears aint going to help my legs or breathing out otherwise I would. I had two of my best races ever on the geared bike so its hard to think its whats holding me back.

root beers? man, i really miss when IBC made the 32oz bottles of root beer.
i'll be there, in the C's, probably continuing my downward spiral of finishes. everyone else got a lot faster during the season.

I'll be racing Cs and Bs.
Yeah, I miss IBC "40s" as well.
Polo tourney was pretty rad. 2 on 2 instead of 3 on 3, so it was really hard. Richmond has awesome food - if you eat meat. Like me.
Hamburger with grilled cheese sandwiches as a bun. ****ing brilliant.

So, the start looked like this:
The sand looked like this:
The riders looked like this:
The falls looked like this:
(I really wish I didn't have mud caught on my lens cover so it would have opened before snapping this)
And the faces looked like this:
Full set on flickr

Nice race boys. Probably could have done better if I stayed upright for more of the race but I was happy with the outcome. Sh*tty luck, Ryan. Hope your bike heals.
I've finished 18th two times this year. Each time Bryan finished ahead of me. With him going AWOL, I finished 17th. And first in the unofficial 40+ DC Statehood category.
