Recommendations for DC area CX training/racing

I'm a noob, but I'm building up an old Biachi cross frame and would like to give it a shot.

I would definitely need some instruction re mounting and dismounting and somewhere to practice.

I think it's more like we both got beat up by Church Creek.

I am literally in the final stages of putting the bike together - I'll PM you if I can get my act together in time.

Riding in grass is hard. Absolutely no momentum. I was praying for the asphalt.

And my arms hurt - along with everything else. So now I have to do push ups to ride my bike.

Proteus has practices on Thursday nights. TeamTOMS has a very informal practice on Tuesdays at Calvert/Connecticut Ave in the park. PM me for details.
