I've been wanting to do that for years. I think I may have to try to get up there this time. So is it just over or under 40? for the Iron cross I don't see any other categories.

JFM--you can do that or singlespeed. There's the iron cross lite races on saturday, too, that are kinda fun. The course was pretty neat last year.

No Iron Cross for me, this year. My knees voted 'no' and my new-found responsibilities as race promoter pose a big conflict for that weekend.

man, that was fun. i was over geared on the single speed but still pulled a respectable time of 4:41:59 and (i think) 7th in the single speed category. next year i'll gear down a bit and shoot to break 4:30. anybody else from the forum make it? can't believe i'm already stoked for next year. such an amazing event. the fire road downhills were so freaking fast this year it was scary. wigwam hill was somehow more menacing as i'm a bit heavier this year than last and felt it.

Awesome. I'm sort of bummed that I didn't do it, but Hayettsville was pretty damn fun.
It's on my list for next year though.
