    What, nobody rode up?

That's a prodigious amount of mud - was it a swamp from one end to the other?

that climb was impossible to ride at any point of the day.

thats nothing though. The run up that dc.cyclocross is talking about was truly intense and almost impossible to run up. I had to walk at times just to move forward. That hill is one that is usually ride able too.

I definitely have Granogue as a training goal for next year - but you missed a nice course in Winchester.

granogue was my first race ever. by the end of my race(c) the course was mostly all mud. the two run ups were basically walk ups. the one in the woods was very muddy and very difficult to keep any balance/traction. so much fun. finished in the top 50% of the field which was my goal. started about 80 riders back.
