Nice shots. Hilly? Rutro. Looks like a bit of a sandpit. Setting my watch bike right now to be there in the morn. Rumor that Bahati might show, did he?

Hilly, its either up or down and every darn turn seems to be off camber downhill. Very tight turns, a sandpit, one stair, one barrier, and there were a lot of crashes.
Enjoy it! ;)
See my write up.

Hey, there I am, #472, see if you can find me

I forgot to mention there was also a duet of chello and violin in black tie playing classical music at the top of the stairs - to honor having the race at the Greek Theatre.
Were they there today?

Rumpled 11-07-10 09:27 PM

No live musicians today. I got stupid and did two races. Actually not too bad.
They started the 1,2,3 non UCI and 35+ 1,2,3 and 35+ 3/4 all in one wave - though staged seperately. Said they could probably avoid pulling people that way.
They did't pull anyone in that race. I would know as I was DFL. I was 2 laps down, all but 1 finisher lapped me and half the field got me twice.
Thenamad, you're in good company as Chris Horner got pulled today in the Elite race.
Sorry, I can't see you in that shot on my blackberry.
Look for a report and photos from me by tomorrow night.

More time on course equals a win though! Glad you had a good day. They must have gotten wind of the annoyance when every 3/4 got pulled. :)
If you ran the course backwards I wonder how it flowed compared to yesterday.

Need a hint to answer that question though - which team? Nice write-up by the way, but too bad about your second race. I sometimes don't understand the groupings in CX.

thenomad 11-08-10 12:02 AM

ok, upper right corner, I'm taking a photo ;)

53-12 11-08-10 12:09 AM

Well, I would have used up all my guesses on that one.

So what's the story on the fight that happened on the course? I see some pics of a spectator on course?

53-12 11-08-10 10:30 PM

OK, now that I recognize the jersey:

Sunday was backwards to Saturday?

Watch out that 53-12, he just might take a bad shot of you.

thenomad 11-09-10 01:37 AM

Now that brings back memories. Add 30 seconds of chain reattachment there too. :)

It's just a matter of time. Actually though, a lot of people were sliding out in that turn.

Rumpled 11-09-10 01:22 PM

53-12, were you there Sunday?

53-12 11-09-10 06:57 PM

Unfortunately I didn't make it back for Sunday.
