Barry Wicks using disc brakes

There are some intriguing images of Barry Wicks from yesterday's Her Meer CX race in Vancouver, WA over at Oregon Cycling Action. It looks like Wicks is riding a custom Major Jake with disc brakes and a Parabox or similar hydraulic converter.

Here's a shot of him chasing Trebon around a tree, showing the full bike:

Here's a frontal shot giving a better look at the converter:

This shot is a bit more indicative of how the day went for the rest of us:

Incidentally, with a win in this race, Trebon is off to a commanding lead in the prestigious Grand Prix Tina Brubaker series.

That last pic is classic. One on the ground, one in the air, one picking up his bike, and one walking (on the drive side, looking confused).

That sand was awful.
