Another disc

saw this on bike radar ...

recall reading that the sand pits left enough grit in the holes in the edge of the discs
that pads wouldn't even last an hour, in the worlds .

sponsors scrambled with an overnight rush to get discs without holes ..

now the regular folks can get them ..

"recall reading" -- appropriate for a CX disc thread....

Those are interesting. Is there any reason not to have solid rotors when overheating isn't a concern? Is it just weight?
