Check out the link. I will admit I have an interest as I'm on the tour committe for Oshawa Cycling Club and helped orgainized the new ride along with many others from the club and unitedway. So take a look and registration is all online.

Just bringing this back to the top. There have been some changes especially with the starting point. Town of Whitby was to hard to deal with so starting point is back to durham college.

Well the ride was run today and was totally blown away with the amount of riders. It was amazing to look back at start of ride and see so many cyclists on the road. Ihave no official number but best guesses were around 500, very good day and for a good cause.

I rode over and rode the Hill in Starkville today. Nice Hill! I will have to ride that one three or four times every summermaybe more. I may have to use it for some intervals.
I won't miss the signs next year as I will try to get out and scout the course a few weeks before the ride.
45 signed up for the Heartbreak Hill challenge and only 38 found it.
My time today from a standing start was good enough to put me at the top. Kicking my butt tonight.
Maybe my five bucks will carry over to next year

Yeah it sucked that not everyone found it and it is already been discussed how to handle the issue next year. As for the climb itself I came in 25 which is not a big suprise for a guy who is 235lbs. I actually had a better time than a few guys I ride with who are typically better climbers than me but after doing 90k with a ton of climbing already in the legs it does make a difference. I do ride with the ladies winner and she does repeats on the hill. A week before she did it 8 times.
