How is the racing in Ottawa/QC?

So I live right on the US/Canadian border (in between Prescott and Cornwall but on the US side) and currently just race in the US. I am contemplating racing more up north just because I am getting a little tired of driving 3-6hrs for races. With Ottawa just an hour away I am hoping there will be more options up north.

Just wondering if anyone has experience racing in eastern ON. Weighing my options between racing familiar races or starting fresh and blindly going north of the border to race. I have checked out www.ontariocycling.org but seems most races are around the Toronto area. QC's stuff is all in french and I am a little rusty on my french. Any good teams/races I should check out?

Never eaced in Ottawa but it is probably the nicest city and area I've ever cycled in, it's beautiful this time of year and the roads and drivers are generally pretty good.

You're pretty close to MTL which is fairly english friendly, you probably found this already but their calendar is here: https://www.fqsc.net/comp/Calendrier.htm and it looks like they have a lot of events around the montreal, laval, sherbrooke, and even ottawa area (Coupe de l'Outaouais?, my french is pretty rusty too).

I'm not a racer, nor do I know anything about it, except the Mardi Cyclistes in Lachine (a western quarter of MTL).

Try your question on this canadian forum, but it has little traffic so I think you'd be better just asking in English on the French counterpart.

The notices will all be in French for the events around Montreal but everybody will be able to speak to you in English. Cut&Paste the french text into this website for a translation https://www.google.ca/language_tools?hl=en Go to Sheldon Browns website for the English/French dictionary of cycling terms.
