Considering a loop of Lake Ontario

I'm considering a counter-clockwise tour of Lake Ontario this summer, and I'm looking for advice/suggestions/route pointers.

I've started a thread on the Touring Forum here, with all of the details. I'm cross-posting here to solicit advice from anyone local to the area.

Thanks in advance!
