OLN sucks

Only a.m. coverage of the Tour, no p.m. highlights.

I totally agree. I moved up here from the USA where I had Versus. I hate this.

How about Operation Repo? Reality T.V. re-enacted. Yup,there's a healthy outdoor lifestyle. I just don't get that they call themselves The Outdoor Life Network when such a small % of their programming is actually outdoors.

It's so depressing. OLN used to play the Tour four times a day! I hate to admit it but it was all because of Lance. Without an American rider favored to win the tour there's just no interest over here. BOO!!!

I'm enjoying it I just wish they'd fix the guide so I can PVR it properly without having to also tape what ever ED's UP is, it hasn't finished before noon yet. The extra coverage they have via Roger's isn't too bad.

Please take the 2 seconds to email and send your complaints here!!!!! I even told them I paid $30 to watch it on Versus, would they not rather have my money?...Could they not put it on rogers on demand at least? They're asleep at the wheel.....but mantracker galore.

What did you guys do with your old VCRs?

Do you really want to sit through all those 4-minute "sell us your gold" commercials anyways?

And let's not forget "Specialized. Because you can never be too specialized" *groan* or "Take me boating, and show me how to drive a boat" After the 250th time I wanted to strangle that kid. haha!

Yes, OLN sucks. We were in Ottawa when the Tour started and the only listing I found on Bell ExpressVu was 11:30am.
I'm PVRing it, but always liked both, the morning and the evening show.

Does anybody know if OLN is in HD anywhere on Rogers?

The Specialized commercial with Contador and Shleck is awesome, makes me laugh every time.

I signed up for the Versus Tour Tracker ($30), and can stream the tour live, commercial free...also, no boring Bob Role and Craig Hummer. Also, I can stream it from my iphone or ipad...or watch it later in the day.

Love it.

lol @ 800over. "mantracker galore" indeed. What a silly show. It's cool the first time.. and only the first time.

I miss when OLN was 90% biking, skiing and snowboarding. Still beats the hell out of MTV though.

when OLN in the US was showing the vuelta and giro, we got....nothing. Bowflex commercials.
OTOH, at least OLN Canada doesn't have those shooting and gun shows....eww!
IN Quebec, we get the tour on Canal Evasion, which is like OLN in french and the same stupid junk. The rest of the year it's tourist shows, cooking shows and 'the great race' in french. They actually did show the giro one year and then canceled it because they weren't getting enough ratings. So now we get the tour and that's that. But at least it's live every morning and repeats at 7 pm.

Well, the Tour de France is over now anyways. Those cash for gold and Operation Repo commercials were so boring and repetitive. The only commercial I liked was the one with Alberto Contador and Andy Schleck. Too bad they only showed it like 2 times a day...

Only on the weekend....when it doesn't matter as much to people who work during the week.

Last year TDF on OLN had day time and then a repeat around 12am or 1am. This year it was only on Sat. IIRC they only did that days rerun at around 12am or 1am. That sucked SO hard. I hardly even knew TDF was on this year. It seemed like they didn't do any commercials or raised a lot of awareness till last minute or a week before. I did not know it was on till the it happened when I was checking OLN randomly.

Last year it seemed even if you did not know about TDF you at least knew it was coming on, on X day a month in advance. Hey Mantracker is cool. That is an interesting challenge of a show and from what I found out online they have about 4 different prey camera groups to confuse Mantracker. IIRC Mantracker said he had to positively identify which prey cam group it was that he believed that was the prey each time and it was hard for him to always be right as that was not explained in the 30-60min show. During the TV show everyone thinks it's just one prey camera group following the prey. If that was the case it's not hard to find the prey if you spot some people filming out in the woods I would think. Kinda makes them stand out. After I found out about that multiple camera groups as decoys then I thought the challenge seemed better on both sides.

Seriously WTF is with operation repo anyways? I vote for them to get off the air. If it was REAL repos recorded then diferrent story but not this fake reality crap. Grrr.... so much filler content on OLN now.
