Cyclists, watch out ... Rob Ford is driving on TO streets

Sound's like he's not only content with just removing bike lanes from Toronto streets, but now has allegedly become a hazard to cyclists and pedestrians by being a distracted driver. Great.

$90000 to paint bike lanes last summer, $200000 to remove them this summer.... I don't get it?

A video would have been good. Would have shown Torontonians what a classy Mayor they elected ... allegedly giving the lady and her 6 year old daughter the finger. I still can't believe Toronto elected this guy.

Here is a better link: https://www.citytv.com/toronto/cityne...vis-bike-lanes

Also: https://www.xydo.com/toolbar/23154227...eet_bike_lanes

Ontario provincial law says AS CLOSE AS PRACTICABLE', so bike lanes or not cyclists still have a right to TAKE THE LANE!!!!! The practicality is NOT UP TO THE MOTORIST!!!!!!

I wouldn't care of Toronto instituted a support program for divorced dads that included free weekly hummers -- a city run by a 4-wheeled pig is not where I would live.

The woman that was 'flipped the bird', by Toronto mayor Rob Ford, then didn't like her comments on Facebook in a private forum, going viral. Well, The allegations against Mayor Ford certainly have: https://www.google.com/search?q=g&rl...w=1600&bih=775

Just from the first page of that Google search, the Washington Post and Reuters jumped on the story. So have NBC and FoxNews.

The Edmonton Journal even had stories of other allegations against Mayor Ford.

Presuming the drug allegations pan out, and he is removed from office, it will be an indirect victory for cyclists' in Toronto.

I am glad I don't live there. He is worse than (former)DC Mayor Marion Barry. Marion Barry was fine his first two terms in office. His third(non-consecutive) term, he got hooked on crack cocaine in the 1990's. He was eventually caught on video doing a drug deal. He ended up doing time in Lorton Correctional.

Moved to Eastern Canada regional from A&S. Since the thread is turning political, it was either the regional forum or P&R.

CBad - if you look at this and some of the historical threads you will find that in Toronto it's not possible to separate politics and cycling.

Just saw the article about the 'possible' crack-smoking by the honorless Mr. Ford; didn't watch the video, but the 'cover shot' for the video was of a fat, balding man next to a vehicle...which made me think IMMEDIATELY of Rush Limbaugh! Damn, now Canada has one of those bile-spewing blimps in the public eye, too? SO sad.........
