I wanted to let people know about a charitable cycling team that my father and I are developing in support of Kate's Kause (www.kateskause.com). Kate's Kause is an Elmira, Ontario based charity that is dedicated fundraising for inclusive community projects and Angelman Syndrome (AS) awareness. This charity was started in dedication of my niece shortly after she was diagnosed with AS. My father and I wanted to use our love of cycling as a way of raising money for this charity so we have started the Kate's Kause Cycling Team.
The main event for Kate's Kause Cycling Team is to ride together in the Centurion Cycling event at Blue Mountain this September (http://centurioncycling.com/canada/). Our goal, this year, is to recruit at least 25 riders for our team. We have nearly reached our goal but we are still looking for some more members to join our team of mostly social road cycling enthusiasts (we are just riding in the event not racing).
In return for joining the team each member will receive a custom cycling jersey (created by Primal Custom), early bird pricing for the event and a bag full of great cycling swag. There will also be additional prizes, training rides and a few other events for those that are interested.
