Crossing the Mercier Bridge (Montreal)
Can anyone give me update on the proposed bike lane that was to be apart of the ongoing Mercier Bridge construction? Is it open? Or is it relatively safe to cross without it being finished. Google Street view just shows a sketchy sidewalk with no barricade.

I was planning a trip yesterday and wondered why google maps was always leading my route around this bridge. So I tried to find information on it. Referring to wikipedia, the sidewalk was closed down in 2009 and hasn't been reopened since.
