Toronto bike show

Well the Toronto bike show is coming the end of February I think and I was wondering if anyone has gone to them before and is it worth going to. I am only interested in buying bike parts and finding places to buy tools. I don't know if they will have suppliers there or not. Maybe someone can tell a little about it.

There is a marketplace section where you can buy stuff. Usually some good deals to be had. Bike and accessory companies showing off their latest and greatest. I haven't been to one in a few years, but if I'm home that weekend, I might go.

AS I said before I'm mostly looking for a place to buy tools and bike parts. Instead of using Canadian Tire. Is that the only show they have is down at the Exhibition. Non at the International Center.

Nope. Always been at the Ex as long as I can remember. There is another one in the fall. It's all marketplace and usually a real zoo.

Oh well I'm thinking about going but right now I'm going to buy a couple of tools at Oxygen bikes in Etobicoke, they seem to be nice people.

Looks like my schedule works for that weekend, so unless something else comes up, I think I'm going, probably on Friday.

I want to go but I don't see any names on the directory for tool suppliers. In need of some tools and I was hoping I could get some bargains there.

I go every year and usually come back with enough deals to make the price of admission worth it. As far as tools go, I've picked up the odd one at the the show, but I don't think it would be worth going only for that unless you are looking for a bike stand. Europe Bound is usually the best place to find tools at the show.

Thanks for the heads up about the tools. I guess that I'll pass on the show then.

If you need a torque wrench, princess auto is well priced (and they may have other tools, I guess like Cdn Tire would, that work in a bike setting).

I get some things from Princess Auto and Canadian Tire but what I'm looking for are specialty items. Like BB and Cassette tools. But I'm deciding if I want to go with Park or use Super B.

If you are looking for Park tools:
I was Googling the Park DAG-2 Derailleur Hanger Alignment Gauge looking for a link to add to a post on a forum and noticed Amazon.ca came up.
From a quick skim through, Amazon.ca has most of the Park tools cheaper than the US mail order sites. And it's in Cdn dollars and free shipping if over $25.
Been watching for a deal on the spoke tension meter so couldn't resist, ordered it.
