Does anyone own this bike or have any knowledge of it? I like the specs and the fact it has dual suspension and able to fold makes it very attractive! I'm in the market for a foldable bike that I can take with me on my long distance trips or to a trail. I don't have a truck and I don't like messing with rear trunk rack. The price is affordable and I'm seriously considering it. Check it out and feel free to share your thoughts.

It has a 36v removable lithium ion battery that is neatly tucked inside the frame. A cool and stealthy feature that no one knows it's an electric bike. I'm starting to really like this bike.

FYI: Cemoto is a Canadian base company that manufactures reputable ebikes. I've seen and read reviews of their other ebikes and they were all positive feed backs. Here's an example:

FYI their brand has almost no reviews that are real. Electric Bike REPORT gives pretty favorable reviews to almost every ebike. This one doesn't even sound all that great in their review,...

If there were real favorable reviews I'd probably jump on one of their bikes myself. Considering the high cost of QUALITY ebike components on sale I'd be suspect of ANY ebike at this price point.

Get Court @Electric Bike REVIEW to review it and I'd believe his opinion.

You do NOT have to spend thousands of dollars for a decent ebike. The market has got you fooled into thinking that, they jack up the price because ebikes are still fairly new in the US. There are decent lithium powered ebikes out there you CAN purchase in the range of $700 - 800, I have one myself that I paid only $749 shipped to my door. Comes with same components that I see on other $1200 + bikes like Welgo pedals, Tektro levers, dual disk brakes, Shimano gears etc..The key components that I look for in an ebike is the motor and battery, everything else can be easily upgraded on the cheap! This bike comes with a 300 watt geared rear hub and 36v lithium battery which is similar to what I have now and it's perfect for my daily exercise ride. Thank you for your input, would love to hear from someone who actually owns one and can share their experience with it. Heck I might get one myself and post a review on it. I can give my current one to my wife.

Now, you see, if you had mentioned you had a comparable bike with decent spec components I'd have thought about it differently. I have a Dillenger kit, and I'd damaged the pedalec magnetic disk. I definitely paid too much. So yes, most bikes are overpriced due to newness & the novelty factor.

tds; I have a Dillenger 36V, 350w kit too and it's worked great since an early problem with a controller that Sam Sewell replaced promptly. At the time it was the least expensive DIY kit that I could find that was from a reputable (TO ME) dealer.

Vincent - looks like a great deal since the kit would sell for about that much; sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Vincent , it looks well made . The folding bracket has had a lot of thought go into it and the inbuilt connectors have obviously been well thought out . The battery housing is tidy and unobtrusive . Is a replacement battery obtainable as the day will come when a new battery is needed , then again ,,,there are many different types of batteries , so I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to adapt something when the time comes . For me , the highlight of this bike would have to be that it folds up . Good for packing in the car heading off on a holiday . Its a good deal as its a complete package all in one

I went ahead and bite the bullet on the Cemoto folding bike and ordered one on Friday, it should be here this coming Tuesday and I will post a full report on it with pics. This bike has what I'm looking for, it fold-able so I can take with me on my road trips, it has dual suspension for a smoother ride, the battery is concealed and removable so it's stealthy, has a geared rear hub and the weights are eventually distributed which should give me a nice balance ride. Electrobikeworld has a coupon code "electrobikeworld" at checkout and you'll receive $20 off on all their ebikes. I paid only $755 total with shipping included for this bike. I've purchased the Trail Maker from them before and it is an excellent bike! The frame is solid and use quality components. The Newport Beach Cruiser looks nice too, I might get that for my dad for Father's Day. Stay tune for my Cemoto folding bike review.

FYI: I contacted electrobikeworld and they said I can purchase a replacement battery for the Cemoto bike for $299. They are currently in the process of adding the batteries for all their ebikes on their website.

Ok guys, I received my Cemoto folding ebike last Tuesday and finally have time to report back to do a review. Electro bike world gave me an option of gold or black in color, I opted for the gold. The big box arrived at my door within 4 business days, everything was neatly package with no damage. I had to install the front tire with quick release, tighten the handlebar stem using the tools that came with it and install the seat that also came with quick release. Pumped up the tires and the whole installation took about 15 minutes. My first impression? This thing is big, bold, beautiful and badass! I took the 36v lithium battery out of the frame using the included 2 keys to do a full charge, the battery can be charged on or off the bike. The key locks the battery into the frame. The bike folds in half with a pull of the latch and fits in the trunk of my Ford Focus. Took roughly 4 hours to charge the battery and I took her for a first ride. There is a button to activate the bike and 3 led lights turns on to indicate the battery life. First reaction was wow! This thing has a really nice kick to it and takes off very smooth, I got to maximum speed quickly and I'm 150lb. The pedal assist works great as they should and the twist throttle is power on demand at any given time. I did a 15 mile maiden ride and still had 2 led lights left when I got home. I love the dual suspension as going over bumps and cracks was smooth and painless. This bike got a lot of head turners and a few neighbor ask what kind of bike it was. My over all experience with this bike has been fantastic and I'm very happy I got this bike! I ended up installing better seat and higher handlebar for a more upright sitting position, I'm more of a street cruiser than a mountain trail rider. I do on occasion, go off roading at a nearby field and can't wait to take it out. Enjoy the photos!

Thanks! The first time I saw this bike in pictures, I thought it was rather odd looking but it quickly grew on me. When I first saw it in person I was amazed! It's very well built and feels solid, the ride with the power off feels very nice and balance since the weight is evenly distribute thru out the bike. It feels like pedaling on a normal bike and does not take a lot of effort. Twist the throttle on demand and you feel a nice kick that propels you with authority. I've been riding it everyday and loving it! I think it's a bargain for only $755 (use coupon code electrobikeworld for $20 off) and I highly recommend it!

1. What is the battery capacity 36V and ??AH (It does not say on the website).
2. did you try the bike without electrical power? Is there any drag?

It's a 36v 9Ah lithium battery. I did a 15 mile trip and only use up 1 bar led of battery out of 3.
I did pedal the bike with no power assist and it felt light on my legs using low gears. The bike is very well balance and handles well due to weight distribution. There are no drag because the motor is a brushless geared hub so when you spin the rear wheel, it turns for a long time. Unlike a gearless or direct drive motor, there are a lot of resistance on the magnets, these motors are also bigger and heavier which makes it that much harder to pedal without motor assist. I love the fact I can easily fold it up for a more compact storage or put it in my car trunk and take it with me anywhere I want.

I bought the Cemoto step-thru hybrid online for about $850 Canadian, and found it to be a surprisingly well built bike. It had a 300 watt geared hub motor, and a 36v 10ah lithium battery. All in all I was quite pleased. I have since upgraded the motor to a 750 watt, as the original was too small to drag me around, but no fault of the bike. I would recommend the Cemoto products, as a great entry level e-bike

I find the stock motor with the 36v lithium has sufficient amount of power for me (150lb) to climb hills or go off roading. It also gets me to top speed of 20mph pretty quickly.

I'm 225lbs, so I'd personally need a bigger battery/motor. Being heavy is annoying, but I'm working on it.

Hi Vincent , Your bike looks great ! Any chance of a close up pic of the battery and dimensions ? I will check out if they are available here , though I doubt the price wont be what you paid ,,,,everything costs more here . 15miles (24kms) and 2 lights still on is about right as I was getting around 50 kms distance from my 36v 9ah battery and 20MPH (32kph) The brushless motors are a bonus as you can still ride it like a normal bike even if you switch it off .

Thanks Rick! I have attached some close up pictures of the battery, the dimensions are Length= 14.25 Width=3.75 Height= 1.5 inches. According to their website, they have outside of the US shipping available. You can contact them and ask how much it would cost to ship to Aussie by providing your address. The best way to contact them is thru email, they are great at responding quickly and are very helpful.
I agree that brushless motors are great for ebikes and they come in 2 different types for ebikes.
1. Gearless or direct drive
2. Geared, planetary drive
My bike and I believe all of Electro Bike World's ebikes are brushless "geared" hub motors. I prefer geared motors, they are smaller, lighter and produce more torque compare to the gearless motors. This is good for climbing hills or fast take off from a dead stop. Geared motors don't have any resistance so it makes pedaling a lot easier compare to gearless motors where the magnets inside produce frictions makes it harder to pedal. Add the extra weight that they have and it makes it even harder to pedal compare to the geared motors.
