Dead Bionx System
I have a 350 watt 48 volt Bionx with a 8.8 amp. Battery. The system is a year old and the battery is well maintained. When I insert the battery into its holder I cannot get any response from the system. It seems totally dead. I have checked all of the connections and they seem to be fine. All wires are seemingly in good condition. The battery is fully charged.
Is there any trouble shooting I could do before I make the 50 mile drive to get this fixed. Has anybody here had this problem and what was the cause?
That is very strange indeed.
Check that all your multi-pin connectors have no bent pins. Each round connector should have 6 pins.
Does your battery have the touch sensitive port that shows battery status with a colored LED? Is it showing green?
Have you tried turning the system on while it's plugged into the charger?
Remove and re-seat your console in the console bracket. Ensure no wires coming from the console are stressed.
Beyond checking physical connections, there isn't much you can do other than have it checked out by a Bionx dealer that would be able to swap your components onto a working system to see where the issue lies.

Thanks istomtom I have been meaning to get back to this. I am in the process of moving and just have not had the time. I will try some of these trouble shooting tips soon. I am wondering if the brake regen wire is crimped and generally in bad shape will it prevent the system form working? I am wondering about the stressed console wires. How would I trouble shoot that?
