Electric BMX Build

I have a BMX already that I want to use.

2012 Eastern Ramrodder
2012 Eastern Bikes Ramrodder Bike - Reviews, Comparisons, Specs - BMX Bikes - Vital BMX

THE PROBLEM

I want the bike to be rwd but I cannot find any hub motor kits that fit 110mm rear dropouts. The only ones I can find are for 135mm rear dropouts. The front dropouts are 100mm which fits most front wheel drive systems but I want to use the bike for navigating campgrounds and festival sites with hilly dirt trails and also for pulling a small bike trailer. So rwd would be most optimal. Does anyone know of a rear hub motor kit that would fit on this frame (16" rims, 20" tire, 110mm hub spacing, casette)

Q100 328rpm 36V.

I adapted it to 120mm for single speed use on a 120mm drop out. it could go a little smaller and/or with a steel frame you can fit it in there with no problem. It uses spacers to get it to 130mm, I just put a smaller spacer in (or in your case you can just take one of the two spacers out to get to 110mm.

I'm thinking it is the same motor used for the front, just with a different axel, spacing, and of course threading for the freewheel.

C58 great idea; I have an old steel frame with 120mm rear that might be a candidate --- anything close with a cassette?

I am confused. The product you linked me to says it has a width of 135mm. I am seeing quite a few videos of 1000 watt 48v rwd electric bmx's on youtube. I can't imagine this many people would have successfully spread their rear dropouts to accomodate the motor. There must be 110mm motors out there.

?
A cassette by definition 135mm (or wider) spacing.

The technical specs show it as a 120mm motor. It uses spacers to get to 135mm so it can use a freewheel or cassette.

Take one of the two spacers out and you have ~110mm.

Even if you fix the spacing issue you'll still be stuck with a freewheel, maybe 12T at the smallest which will require a pretty large front gear.
