Adding rear rack on Prodeco Outlaw SS
Hi All - I'd like to add a rear rack to my Prodeco Outlaw SS. Has anyone ever done this with the rear mounted battery style Prodecos? Main goal is to add a little protection around the battery, I won't be hauling much if anything on the actual rack, just would like the battery protected a bit more in case I dump the bike. Let me know if you have any thoughts, I'll post back if I figure anything out.

I spent some time searching for a back rack but could not find one large enough to fit around the battery. I found the bag below on ebay for $20, cut out the majority of the bottom and added foam to the side panels, it should help in the event of a tip and gives a bit of storage plus helps conceal the fact that it's an ebike since she's not really road legal. :thumb:

Looks professionally done --- excellent job; don't know where you're located, but watch the battery temperature on hot days. Did you try old man mountain for racks?

Thanks, I'm happy with how it turned out. I did take a look at the old man mountain rack, I just couldn't justify the cost. I'm in Wisconsin, so I'm hoping temp won't be an issue but I'll keep an eye on it. I can always open up the top on hot days and get a little airflow going.

Nice Prodeco. I put a "protective" coat of plastidip on my battery & controller, but it's really not much better than paint. We have the second lower lug where a better/additional upright could be (should have been) fabricated to support the battery/housing. I'm slowly working up plans to improve the rack system. Any word from The Factory?
