Radio Shack released a friends and family coupon which gives you 30% off all Radio Shack branded items. I thought maybe they carried rechargeable Nimhs and SLA, but I'm such a newbie to the ebike world that I'm not sure. This coupon will only work for today from 5 till closing and tomorrow (Fri) same hours. Here's the link to the printable coupon; it's only good at Bricks and mortar stores:

If you think they carry Nimhs or other equipment that may be useful to ebikers please post. I know for sure I'd like to eventually upgrade from my heavy 12V SLAs. Thanks.

I doubt you'll find anything there that would be of interest, and even if you did, the prices would likely be much higher than what you could find on the net, even with a 30% discount. But if its not too far, its worth an excuse to get on a bike and check it out, nothing to loose in that case.

I worked for Radio Shack once. The only time I ever brought something while I was there was when Corporate discontinued a line of 6 volt 24 AH batteries selling them for $4.00 a piece. I hit every Radio Shack in Orange County, CA and got all 5 available for powering bike headlights. Last Christmas someone on BF pointed out RS was selling rechargeable handheld spotlights for $5.00. The wife and I got the last two in the local store and keep one at each bedside in case of earthquakes. I suggest you waait until someone on BF points out a deal then buy if you need whatever it is.
