Electric trail bike?

I was wondering about a hub motor possibly a Bionx on a trail bike? Has anybody here tried using a hub motor for this application. I live in a wooded area around Houston. I am thinking on exploring the wooded trails. Not any long hills. Mostly flat trails in the woods. Would the hub motor give me longer more enjoyable rides? Thanks

What kind of bike do you have? A hub motor (or any motor really) would certainly let you ride farthur.

This is on old video of my bike with a Crystalyte 5304 hub motor. Excuse the old shakey camera setup... I'll be reshooting this with a helmet mounted cam soon Top speed on some of the bumpy grass ~50km/h.

I would buy the bike. I would be nice to get a good bike for under around $500. I would like a full suspension bike. Any ideas? Thanks for the video feed. Did you use SLA batteries for that? Did you find the weight a problem? Thanks

If you're looking for a good bike around the $500 mark, I would personally suggest staying away from full suspension. Offerings in hardtails will be much more reliable and of higher quality at that price point.
